What is Spring Convocation?

A Convocation when mentioned in the Word of God refers to the assemblies set apart in Levitus 23, and we affectionately refer to them as "campmeetings".  So, what is it? Spring Convocation is a time to come apart from the world and spend focused quality time with family and others who are seeking God's presence, His joy, and His rest more fully. God meets with His people in a special way when we assemble together (Matthew 18:20) spring (Passover) and fall (Tabernacles)  (Leviticus 23:4-8) to reflect on what He has done for us, and what He continues to do for us.

Passover is a time for heart searching, thanksgiving, it is a time for remembering God's power and we observe the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper/Humility, which replaced the command to bring a lamb/sacrifice.  God the Father sent His Son, His only begotten Son to rescue us from sin.  Behold the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29)

We praise our Heavenly Father and our Redeemer, Jesus/Yeshua, with worshipful singing, prayer, and an unrushed study of His Word. God's calendar (Gen 1:14) marks the times and seasons to assemble, and He is restoring our understanding of His calendar in a Gregorian world.  By His grace, we will all, soon, be on one accord.
